What Makes Premier Different

Williston has no shortage of HVAC companies. Here's why homeowners pick us:

  • 24/7 emergency service for everyone. You don't need a membership or a service agreement to get help at 2 a.m. Members get priority, but no one is turned away.
  • Efficiency Vermont contractor. We tell you which Efficiency Vermont and utility rebates may apply to your project and help with the paperwork.
  • Daikin Elite Contractor. We install Daikin, Fujitsu and Mitsubishi heat pumps and mini-splits.
  • Heating and cooling specialists. Heat pumps, mini-splits, AC, and natural gas, oil and propane furnaces and boilers are all we do.
  • Locally owned and BBB Accredited. A Berlin-based team, not an out-of-state chain.

From a Farm Village to a Suburban Hub

Williston has grown more than almost any town in Vermont. Its population rose from about 1,500 in 1960 to 10,103 in the 2020 Census, and housing grew from about 400 homes to more than 4,400. Most new homes in recent years have gone up in the Taft Corners growth center around Route 2A and Route 2, near Maple Tree Place and Exit 12, in neighborhoods like Finney Crossing and Cottonwood Crossing. Meanwhile, the historic Williston Village keeps its older homes under design review, and most of the town's land is still farms and rural residential.

That gives Williston three very different kinds of homes:

  • Newer homes and townhomes around Taft Corners. Tight construction is ideal for a correctly sized ducted or ductless heat pump that carries most or all of the heating.
  • Historic Williston Village homes. Often boiler-heated with no ducts, these are a classic fit for mini-splits with the boiler kept as backup. Careful line routing protects the look of the house.
  • Rural homes on oil or propane. Here a heat pump can cut fuel deliveries, with the furnace or boiler kept for the coldest nights. See furnace and boiler service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a membership for 24/7 emergency service in Williston?

No. Our 24/7 emergency service is open to everyone. From Berlin, Williston is about 45 minutes away, and we'll give you an honest arrival time when you call. After hours, we typically call you back within 30 to 45 minutes and have a tech on site within 1 to 3 hours whenever we can. Weather, roads and distance affect timing, so we can't guarantee it.

Can a heat pump heat a new Taft Corners-area home on its own?

In many newer, well-insulated homes, yes. We size the system to your home's heat loss and tell you whether you need backup heat.

Do you work on older homes in Williston Village?

Yes. Mini-splits are well suited to older homes without ducts, and we route lines carefully to suit the house.

Are there rebates for heat pumps in Williston?

Efficiency Vermont and utility rebates may apply. As an Efficiency Vermont contractor, we'll confirm current options at your estimate.
